[Halp][Reccomendations?]Simple video editing software

I'm lookin for a program that has really basic video editing functions with a simple interface... I'm not trying to create full length feature films or anything... just need simple intro/outro stuff, transitions to combine clips, and overlaying audio tracks onto my videos for youtube...

Anything free or "available for purchase at the store" that you guys use/can recommend?
 
Microsoft Movie Maker is fairly decent. I used it for the first few of my epic T:V films back in the day.
 
Get Adobe Premier Elements. It is easy to use, and has both basic and some more advanced features. You can get the newest version for about $50 to $80 or can get it bundled with Photoshop Elements for about $120 to $150.
