[guitar] Help pricing a guitar

an uncomfy guitar can deter your interest
I know this first hand

The difference between a good guitar and a bad guitar is the difference between night and day. It's such a pain in the ass when you spend a lot of time practicing and the guitar is buzzing or you need to give it a superhuman grip to barre a chord. Fuck shitty guitars.

Don't listen to these guys, a mexi tele for 2 hundred bucks is a good starting guitar. Play a few at GC, make sure there is nothing seriously wrong with it, you'll be right. flick it off in a year or two when you're ready to move up to something better.

I play my $200 mexi tele all the time because I can get a certain bluesy sound out of it that my $2500 PRS custom 22 artist model can't do.

i'll take my 1980's japanese-made squier tele and strat over a mexican fender any day

Well duh.. but dropping $200 on a used mexican telle is not a bad place to start.
