The funny thing about the cries about socialism (which shows a complete lack of critical thinking and blind acceptance of lies and fear mongering) is that most of the posters here whining about it would be better off in a socialist state. While you type away about how bad socialism is in your trailer home, your $85,000 ranch in nowhereland, where gourmet dining is Red Lobster, where family values is screwing your cousin, where the abortion is bad but the death penatly is awesome, where you live off scratch tickets and food stamps but actually believe that there are more blacks on welfare than whites (guess what, white people in conservative states consume the most governemnt resources), the simple fact is that you fools have been screwed by the GOP who have enjoyed taking advantage of your lack of education and knowledge of history all these years.
Your lack of global history and desire to watch TV and movies instead of read books have made you vulnerable and easily manipulated. The Republicans have never worried about you. They just knew you can be easily swayed by some computer graphics of flags and carefully constructed slogans. They burned a hole in this nations pocket by packaging lies in red white and blue. You ate it up without understanding why. You voted against your self interests, time and time again, and fail to realize that the world is more complicated than black and white, this or that. This isn’t about socialism, liberalism, the media. It’s about your lack of curiosity, understanding, depth of knowledge and desire to understand the complexities of the issues. I wouldn’t blame the media. I’d blame yourselves.
Blame the media, blame ACORN, blame whatever you want. The truth is that America voted with their hearts.
