Is this different than the boom/bust cycles in history? Does anyone actually believe right now that this just part of the business cycle and that the economy will reverse its trend anytime soon?

Perhaps extraordinary political action is what needs to happen... what do you think it'll take for the economy to be good again, TW?

Getting rid of the ridiculous concept of debt-based money. It isn't necessary, and it only benefits banks and their megacorps progeny, as well as the politicians that get greased for keeping it that way.

It probably won't until the Euro finishes collapsing. They're trying really hard over there to show that socialism doesn't work and they're just about to prove it. Germany's nearly the only thing keeping the euro above water. Mean while, France is working on giving itself a golden parachute by selling bonds at a negative interest rate.

Our economic senses are fundamentally flawed is the issue.

We need to focus on large scale changes in how business itself is handled. Exploitation and profit-based models have to go or we're fucked.

This.

You can only kick the can down the road for so long before you kick it off a cliff. I'm not sure the Germans like all their money being spent by other countries.

that's a good point, actually

we like to think of apple as a great satan of the business world

but komen is way more selfish and evil
