Most 1 sided commercial DVDs are DVD-9's(8 or so gig). DVDs you can burn are DVD-5's(4.7gig). So if you want 1 for 1 *cough*backups*cough*, you'll be dumming down video quality.

EDIT: Read dvdrhelp.com to see compatability for medias. Don't think it'll have PS2 though.

dvd movies that you buy/rent are on larger discs which cannot be copied because the blank-dvd's that you buy are smaller, therefore making direct copies is immpossible. It's been a while, so I forgot the specifics

100% quality with 100% content is impossible for a DVD-9 rip. Full content is simple, but the video will suffer.
