You ought to tell all the developers of Unreal Engine games that their titles are just mods. I think they would be very interested to learn your point of view.

A lot of Unreal Engine games feel like mods because the developers are too lazy to rip out things like player movement code and replace it with something better.

A game like Section 8 feels like a mod of Unreal Tournament 3.

A game like Mirrors Edge does not.

Duke Nukem Forever will be an amazing game.
