Also grew up in the 60's/70's when you were issued a pack of cigarettes when you were born, but I've never smoked. Though since both my parents smoked nearly every waking minute in the house, in the car, in the doctor's office, etc. I am certain I've inhaled enough smoke to be considered a former smoker.
Hell, in the late 70's, early 80's there were nearly physical fights in my professional office when non-smokers objected to all the smokers lighting up with cigarettes, pipes and cigars in the middle of the office every day of every week.
Never really understood why someone would even start smoking. Its not like your body doesn't react poorly to it from the get go, its expensive, it really does make you stink and there is no way you can believe its good for you, so why start? Peer pressure... "F" off, who's the idiot?
Anyway, for those who do, please seriously consider stopping. My mother died way too early of lung cancer and my father from complications related to COPD (and there is nothing like watching a loved one slowly die while struggling to breathe).
Now, don't get me started on vaping...
