dl, which empire?

Never played before and dl 14 day trail. Is there a empire that is better than the rest, or are they balanced? thxs

i'd personally recommend minmatar or amarr, though any race can train the ships of the other races. the bigger concern are your starting statistics and to some extent starting skills. read the beginner stickied threads around here.
