did ne1 watch the preacher show on amc

Show is ok, I have only watched the first 2/3 of the season so far, but it seems like it is spending a ton of time setting up the world and not really developing a strong central story line. Could pay off if it gets multiple seasons but otherwise the series will be pretty pointless.

that is exactly the kind of detail that is good to know bc holy fuck is that stupid. hey let's make a batman show but it'll be a sitcom about the wacky hijinks of an adolescent bruce wayne before his parents died

what the hell do they even do the whole time? i can't imagine a preacher that isn't 100% psychotic road trip
 
Starts slow but is a great show. Also I grew up in a small town in West Texas like they are in and it's not really like that. But trashy people are everywhere tho.
 
Preacher is pretty awesome... the phone conference with heaven was amazing hehe.

i agree with everything that has been said. does start a little slow (the actual comic doesn't even really start until the last episode)

but there are a few really standout episodes (the motel scene / rules.... )

and the last episode is really strong / funny / season 2 hook

cassidy is awesome (that airplane entrance tho? ) :)

8/10 def fair rating for season 1
