there's this thing called the internet, al gore invented it.
when you get online you can see a list of games to join that people made although they are hosted by battlenet, you can join them and have up to 8 people in a game, or you can create your own game. THe more people in a game, the harder the monsters are and the more exp gained. Especially if you are partied up and fighting in the same area. There's no pausing by pressing escape like there is in single player, and if you want to go afk, i'd suggest tp'ing first or you might die from mobs or killed by another player.. but if you're not playing on hardcore, it doens't really matter.
