D2 Vs. The South

About a month and a half ago, Black Lance started southern PVP operations in Stain. The area is fairly target-rich, which is something we like.

We started seeing other D2 (and Morsus Mihi and IRON) corps doing basically the same thing -- set down in the south and start shooting (mostly this is HED-GP camping)

BoB and ASCN start shooting each other. D2 decides to not take sides and shoot both. :)

D2 High Command offers 3 billion isk to the corp with the most points (as recorded on the D2 killboard) in a number of regions in the south (basically everywhere not-empire south of Jita). So the major D2 lagfleets (100-something a couple days ago, didn't move too fast... meanwhile Black Lance's gang of 15-20 is zipping around CHIMP space, killing their d00dz) are flying in the South now, hunting for enough high-profile targets to earn their corp the prize. Kinda sad that it took an incentive to get most of D2 to go out shooting things.

Oh, and Stain is a veritable PAIN IN THE ASS to hunt in, due to the surprising # of NPC stations. It's just like empire, only you don't take standing hits and the sentry guns only shoot you if you shoot them (or the stations). ARGH.
 
Yeah we were operating from there for a while before the bob/ascn conflict, but we were getting super blobbed on a daily basis. I think I was trapped around HED for like... 5-6 days or something... camped on both sides... ridiculous.
 
I bet you'll love the node crashes even better.

Also 300 man fleets isnt something to brag about when you are ASCN. Try reading about how pathetic you guys are on eve-o sometime.
 
Beast, are you reading the same eve-online forums I read???????????? I seem to read alot of BoB posts, I read very little ASCN posting..... Did you get them confused?
 
Yes I realize most of the crap on there is propaganda.

Like the non ASCN piloted freightor full of pos gear/supplies being escorted by ASCN that was blown up on its way to delve.

Like the dozen pos' deployed in tpar without guns/hardners/fuel.

Like the multiple engagements at 200km+ slaughterfests where ASCN cant hit anything because they are flying mostly t1 fitted battleships.

Yes, most of it is bs but word gets around very quickly which threads are propaganda and which threads are correct, especially when cross-referenced to killboards.

And I know about the ASCN fleet commanders that totally suck ass too.
 
I've been watching this conflict from the start with an alt. While ASCN seems to be getting utterly decimated, they are impressively keeping bob off the offensive for now. Thier attempt a bob station if nothing else thwarted the bobsters plans for the time being.
 
If anything, I think this conflict has opened up BoB's home to more attacks, because now everyone realizes it's not the inpenetrable fortress everyone thought it was.
 
Meh, when BoB was busy destroying our industrial backbone we had a good number of people making more cash than ever by ratting out of their systems. Outbreak did a good job of slapping the shit out of them around the sametime as well.
 
Guys, Im new to ascn, and they are normal people, mostly industrialist. Bob is just a bunch of bullshitting assholes who think they have really done a fine job, but they cant take back paragon soul, they cant get us out of period basis, and now they have atleast 90 of us running around Period basis, paragon soul, and Fountain killing all thier shit. We just encounted mercs protecting thier slave corps in e2-rdq because they cant get protection from bob, 6 jumps from the main fighting. They suck!!
