D2 Titan down, questionable circumstances

Jump to last post
A) The titan DID have a 15min aggression timer.
B) The titan had been sitting in POS shields for hours.
C) Targeting the titan from inside the POS shields should NOT cause aggression.
D) This doesnt seem to be a wrecksploit, as he doesnt have any kills on D2's board for the last few days.
E) BoB was succesfully shooting through POS shields earlier that day.
F) The Titan had jumpbridged recently, but not within the last 15 minutes.

If all that is true, seems really fishy. FFS especially with the scan probe changes they should really add an aggression timer to 0.0 Who knows maybe there's something wierd going on we, had alot of people get ships back from dg- after some wierd 3hour+ aggro bugs.

Statement Dusk and Dawn

Today D² lost an Erebus class Titan.

Because there are still a lot of questions about these recent events, here are some points from our persepective.

The Erebus pilot had planned to log out as he had things to attend to out of game, in order to do this he jumped back from the front line to a more secure system. He had not been involved in any fights or attacks for the three hours prior to this.

It seems that the Erebus was being scouted by a internal Spy who has since been identified. This character was flying a cloaked Anathema Covert Ops frigate. Shortly before the Pilot was going to log off, he uncloaked and used a Passive Targeter to lock the Erebus and fired a single shot on him. Seconds after this, the Titan pilot logged.

So the aggro timer was increased without our pilot noticing.

Minutes after this it was reported that the Titan had not disappeared, so the pilot attempted to log back in.
Unfortunately there was no chance for him to save the Titan, due to a well executed plan by BoB who had jumped in their Capital Fleet and Support.

We always knew it was going to be a dirty war, but once again, Band of Brother prooves, it can always get more dirty.

as if there was any doubt. this lame metagaming bullshit, abusing game mechanics. all we need now is dev involvement and you have BoB in a nutshell.

no matter though, they can't abuse aggro timers on fleets.... or can they?

Underhanded perhaps but then again most alliances use ... lets call them interesting tactics.

RA\AAA love their logon\logoffski tactics.
Goons use spies and lag tactics to their advantage. Lets also not forget about how much goons rely on GTC sales to fund their war machine.

Not many alliances are clean in EVE. Those in the anti BoB glass house coalition claiming moral superiority over BoB shouldn't throw stones imho.

At the end of the day, however, most players in all of these alliances are just normal pilots like you, me and hell even Hanibal that just want some good fun. Witch hunting and band wagoning ftw I suppose though. :hrm:

Are you suggesting goons want to create lag to gain some advantage over our enemies because if so that's silly you're silly. Lag happens; sometimes it works in our favor and often it works in LV's favor. We don't want it to happen in either case.

Even suggesting crashing nodes as a joke on SpaceGBS will get you flamed/fined/kicked or all of the above.
