hey guys its been a long time since i have done any computer upgrading and kept up with it so i was wondering can a pci-e 3.0 card work in a pci-e 2.0 slot

Probably but you would need to card info/rev to be sure. Box should show minimum requirements.

i do know how to use google and in fact did i asked tribalwar because i wanted confirmation and this is technically a computer gaming forum. and although people here are kinda assholes they are at least some what intelligent for the most part anyway. also some times people will post response entailing problems or scenarios i have not considered myself from their own experiences.
