Carfax reports are beyond useless. Out of all the cars I've owned which have been damaged when I had them never show up on the report. You're better off having a mechanic check the car out. Find one with a paint depth gauge to see if its ever been repainted.

I would never buy a car i couldnt look at or test drive. There is so much a carfax cant show you. If deal sounds too good to be true it probably is.
