[car audio] Help me choose.

I have 1200 greenbacks that i'm willing to blow on a system for my truck. I want a crisp clean sound with good bass.. not nigger trunk rattling bass but good bass. I used to have 2 Kicker solobaric 10's a 750 punch Rockford fosgate amp and an alpine head unit. All these things got jacked out of my truck about 5 months ago. Insurance cut me a check so....

I can't decide on an amp or component speaker set.
 
JL Subs you wont ever go wrong, with a 10W7 u need at least a 1000 Watt amp, i'd suggest the JL 1000. Good choice with alpine deck too, i like, the system, go for it!
 
make sure you have room for that sub. It's 8 inches deep, which may limit your legroom. Having not worked on such a truck since 2000, and not knowing your height, weight, or whether it's dual cab, I would seriously consider legroom as a major factor.
just my thoughts, but I was MECP certified a long while ago...

obviously my previous certification doesn't mean that I am up on current mobile electronics, but I do believe that I know a customer's needs, and an 8 inch deep sub COULD limit mobility, which isn't something you want on an interstate....
 
i'm sorry, i'm not that expierenced with car audio/systems.. but isnt 500$ alittle much for a cd deck?
