It's not that bad. I used to live there when the GST was 7% which would make it 15%. Plus it's not as bad as Prince Edward Island which is at 15.5%.
 
Ugh I haven't been looking forward to it. It's gotten very little media attention though so I wonder if it'll really be drastic at all.

Anyone know what Quebec's is gonna be/if we're even going along with it? (Since Qc pretty much gets whatever it wants)

Yeah, It's only being added to BC/Ontario. It was already in NB, NS and PEI. The NS rate is going up. Some new things will be taxable. Other things will now be subsidized and tax-free. Really won't make any difference to most people.
