kingdom rush is probably the best android game i've played. good fit of short 5-10 min sessions, the right amount of strategy/complexity for a mobile device, still challenging if you want to get all the stars, etc

hearthstone

bad piggies is actually a pretty fun game too. its not like angry birds at all. you build machines with different parts and try to pilot them through the course

plants vs zombies

those are all really popular already though so maybe you have already played them
 
I've been wasting time lately playing "Tap Titans"

It's a bit tedious untill you unlock some artifacts and combo some together so you don't have to actually tap all the time. Game has a fair amount of depth but there are some hackers in the bi-weekly tourny, tho they can be mostly avoided by waiting closer to the end of the 24 hour period of the tourny (time starts when you join)
