[Camera] AVCHD Help

-Bane

Veteran XV
I have a camera that records both AVCHD and MJPEG. AVCHD wins on quality, but it seems the support for this shit is non-existent. Is there a way to convert AVCHD videos (.mts) into something that the rest of the world recognizes (.avi, .mov, whatever) for free?

Sony Vegas Pro

Also to edit the audio I think you need Sony Sound Forge

Edit: Didn't read the free part. It is available for free in certain 'stores' if you're into that kind of thing.
