It looks pretty difficult if not impossible to associate names with IP's with the current log (beta dedicated server). There's also no recording of chat. Is some setting needed to log this stuff?
The data's obviously there because you can look at the chat using the web admin's console. So I guess it should be straightforward to use the same API's in a mut to log it.
It's really amazing we're still using a beta dedicated server months after the game's release. Hopefully they'll have a better version that'll come out with the patch, maybe one that doesn't need it's own dedicated machine to run it.
Any logging to separate files should be controlled by an ini file setting, so that multiple servers sharing the same binary can still easily specify separate log files for each server by having distinct ini files.
it only logs global chat, anything typed in team chat is not logged anywhere. it's a 'security' concern, might have an admin watching and getting super secret strat info and giving to the other guys, etc...
