Please explain how the moneyline works in betting? If possible, relate it to basketball. I don't really understand it but I want to.

Well that's another form of betting. Like:
Point spreads
over/under
moneyline
first half betting
winning margin

I want to know about moneyline since that's the only one I really don't get.
 
Ah ok. So it seems like that you are betting primarily on who you think will win. Kind of like a straight bet, but without lines and with a differing win amount depending upon the moneyline.
