Best places to grind 54-60(PvP server)

Veteran X
I'm on Archimonde alliance which supposedly has a close to equal H/A ratio with the slight advantage to the horde. I play a level 54 shadow priest. The horde on Archimonde are very obnoxious alot of the time and will gank without hesitation. Being a priest, even shadow specced, I'm pretty much fodder for all these level 60's with epic gear.

That being said, Ive explored areas like Un'goro, Western Plauges, Eastern Plagues, Burning Steppes, Felwood, and Winterspring. all these places fucking blow. All I wanna do is grind, and I'll end up killin like 3 mobs before being ganked by the umpteenth-million Undead Rogue with triple fear Immunities and having to run 10mins back to my corpse.

Wah wah wah, yes I'm crying mother fuckers, but not all of us have an unlimited time to play WoW and it's fucking annoying when you can't get shit done.

All my quests lead to places like Un'Goro which blow if you wanna try to get anything done solo.

So my question is, for those on Pvp servers, where were your secret spots for the final stretch? I dont mind the occasional Horde sightings/gankings, and I'm a pretty good PvPer 1v1, so I can hold my own. But WPL/EPL is a nightmare. Where did you go?

Priest: Do instances.
Run ST and maraudon untill you cant stand them.
Then BRD.
Then DM/Strath/Scholo/LBRS/UBRS.

Standing in your town you most likely will see a ton of LF1M priest, make that you and get XP :)

Or find a mage and AOE grind, WPL fields are alright for that, though you could check the mage forums as i think they have a huge post of AOe grinding spots.

Thanks for the tips...

I ended up grinding 1/4 of level 54 in Azshara... didn't get jumped once.

Then went to BRD and gained almost half a level..

then grinded out the rest in Burning Steppes.

I guess it is possible! thanks for the tips.

Deadwind pass. Farm the ghosts in the southern part, lots of nice drops there too.

i second this. it's also decent cash. get down into the underground area and you'll never really see other people.

also consider the ungoro plume area in the middle if you can do mining or herbalism. you'll find tons of pvp and farmers there, but it's decent cash for the grind.

likewise, i highly suggest checking out the noxious glade in EPL. even if your server has few carebears, you may be surprised at how people behave up in that little spot. it is so close to the graveyard that pvp is almost retarded cuz the only reason folks are there are to grind to 60, to farm AD rep or to check for rich thorium. i find that folks often call a truce there just to grind. it's also decent cash and rep worth getting, including the many many stacks of runecloth that comes with it.

at 54, you might also want to consider other good farming spots that are nearby graveyards like the water elemenals in felwood. folks there also tend to call a truce unless the farmers pile up too much (more than 2 people and it gets nasty).

if i get within 2 miles of those toxic horrors on illidan i'd be raped six ways from sunday

though the warpwood elementals up north are pretty decent

a lot of grinding depends on what class you are playing and where the farmers are

and the culture of farming.

i see a lot of truces in some spots between alliance and horde, especially if the graveyard is nearby. but that might be dramatically different on other servers.

i just think that if you are gonna grind a level you might as well grind on stuff that might get you some rare items worth cash.

i have just grinded in ungoro on my rogue alt from 52 to like 55. i dont play him much except for when i need to farm stuff (he is miner/herbalist). but grinding there you can get a ton of really useful stuff from elemental drops, not to mention the rich thorium veins and the constant mountain silversage.

when i grind him i also do it on off-hours (i.e. 8am to noonish) where i barely ever have any problems.

grinding on farm-worthy stuff is always a bonus, and you dont really have to do it on the uber-best farming stuff. just stuff that makes it worthwhile fiscally.

but at some point (and i dont give a fuck what folks say), you really need to just quest. you'll... never get as much XP as quickly by merely grinding. there are a few levels where grinding rocks, but most cases you have quests that will jack you up rather quickly if you work at getting groups.

Yeah grinding on off hours is usually key. As I have seen from the censuses the prime time is usually around 4pm to 10pm server time. It starts to taper off around 10pm but not by much, but 4pm to 10pm is peak activity times.

And with college/school starting up you'll probably find significantly less people during off-hours. Or even fewer in general as people put their accounts on hold to go back to school.

actually, while the prime time implies a ton of people online... for a lot of farming/grind spots, i think you're more likely to get trouble from the late night addicts who break away from raiding and such during prime time to do their nocturnal soloing stuff.

imo, it's particularly rough in some of the best spots from midnight to like 5am. then, suddenly there's a wonderful quiet that hits at that 7am to noon time when even the die-hards arent around.

I forgot the name of the spot but in EPL it is to the south right when you come in. A little tomb with about 10 or so zombies. I went from 55-59 on them with my warlock. It was mind numbing but when I was done, I had nearly 1,000 runecloth. Also got a few blues and tons of greens. There was only 2 quest that are for that spot. One if at the bottm of the tomb and you just need to read a note. People really didn't do that too often.

The other is for strat or scholo but I forgot which. You inspect a grave and it spawns 5 mobs. I probably only had 1 or 2 people an hour doing that quest and even the horde that did it left me alone most of the time. If not I would just wait until they spawned all the mobs and rez then jump them. It got slow towards the end and could have probably done it in only 2 days if I had full rested exp. Took me 4 days though without it.

As for 59. I recommend that you have a bunch of easy quest. The onyxia key is what I hit 60 on. The turn ins would get me a few thousand exp every time plus it was a welcome change from 4 days of grinding. Since you can only do the escort quest 5 man brd is still decent exp so doing that then marching on to the MC attunement should get you 60.

Ugh, worst spot ever on my server. I got ganked 7 or 8 times there trying to finish a quest. And the run back is ridiculous.
keep in mind vermillion plays on a server where his faction has 8500 more players

actually he plays on a normal server so he doesnt have to worry bout constant ganking.

i always find pvp action in jadefire, so i dont even bother to go there if im not in the mood.
