Im wondering why ppl are saying that the dual 650mms ACs are better then the 800mm ACs for BS's, mianly because when i put both into uickfit the 800mms come out ahead in DPS....wo whats the problem?
 
Clip size.

Dual 650s have twice the clip size of 800s, while having only ~11% faster rate of fire. This means Dual 650s can fire quite a bit longer without having to stop for 10 seconds to reload. Dual 650s also have better tracking, and are easier to fit.

800s are getting a 50% clip size boost in the coming patch, which will help, but I'm still not terribly convinced that it'll make them worth fitting.
 
anyone know what the clip size is for the 800s? because they seem to have a better damage modifier as well as better range (slightly)
 
so its double, so the extra 2 shots(ROF approx 5 secs, get 2 shots off before continue firing), but with the new patch it will be put upto 6m3
 
most ppl forgett that in 70% you dont even have to reload.

800mm do more damage then 650mm.

but yeah Im happy all jump on the DPS bandwagon and dont recognize that in praxis its very different.

70%? 40 charges with 2 second ROF is barely 80 seconds... I've been in plenty of fights longer than that.

But even without taking reloading into consideration, I prefer the 650s... much better tracking and easier to fit. I'd personally take that over an extra ~4.8% damage in most situations.
 
Wait for the next patch when they boost the clip size of the 800mm ACs then slap on tracking computers and webbers. Watch your targets cry.
