Are you happy with your income?

Yeah but if you actually live in the mid west prepare to fucking kill yourself because it's the most goddamn boring fucking region in the U.S.
(Chicago area doesn't count)

P.S.

East coast represent!

Not really, ive been all over the damn world and its not as different as people like to think it is. People are just into different things really.

Unless your involved in certain area specific sports for example.

Yeah but if you live in the middle of fucking no where there isn't much to do regardless of how you spin it.

Living an hours drive from a major city makes things really different. A lot more is accessible to you that just isn't if you live in the mid west. There aren't any beaches in the mid-west. There aren't even any mountains. Theres just corn

Im in metro detroit, pretty much everywhere in a state that touches a great lake is within an hour or two of a major city. When I speak of the midwest I think of speak of the great lake states pretty much.

Detroit is a lot better then most think really, a lot of the metro area is among the wealthiest in the nation, every pro and college sports team within an hour drive, brand new Casinos along with a brand new downtown pretty much. Cost of living is at a level that actually makes sense. Really the suburbs of Chicago and the suburbs of Detroit are the exact same thing except the land values here make sense.

Maybe youve never heard of the great lakes, but there are a lot of great beaches especially in Northern and Western Michigan. We have a condo up north thats on the beach, with a few really big ski resorts nearby.

Im not talking about middle of nowhere Kansas here, id agree with you there but ive never lived there so fucked if I know what its like. The great lakes region is pretty nice though, especially when you factor in cost of living.

Neither do I, or car payments, make 80K (gross), and guess what? I barely break even each month. 18 years ago when we bought the house, I was obsessed with mortgage amortization. Didn't want to pay thousands in interest. So I payed extra to a 67k mortgage and paid it off in 3.5 years. Figured I'd be all set. Wrong. Groceries, gas, and all the bills to run a house add up to 3-4k (net) a month. There's not one major expense, but a bunch of little ones that add up. If we buy nothing during the month, the Discover card bill is still 2k just from gas, groceries, and a few bills. Believe me, I've put the numbers in spreadsheets, crunched the numbers, and it's tuff to cut back. In my case, it's me, Laurie, Ashley (who eats like an adult now), dog, and horse. When you get a family with pets, 3 cars, and a daughter who does show jumping, everything adds up. That's why the ho must continue working.

you are paying that much per month for routine expenses?

you must live like a king, i could not break 3 grand if i tried (not counting day care).

In NGFM's case, you probably mean the 'ho' and daughter live like a queen/princess while he lives as a pauper.
