I am considering getting a New Mobo & CPU. I need something that will take advantage of my graphics card (gainward geforce fx 5900 ultra 256ram). I have looked around and I think I found what I want but i wanna make sure.

I picked out: Intel Pentium 4 (800 FSB) Motherboard Model BOXD865PERL and Intel Pentium 4 / 2.4CGHz 512k socket 478 Hyper Threading Technology 800 MHz FSB

i also have 1 512 stick of pc 2700 ddr333 ram

up the ram even thought it isnt needed you will be able too make that Vid card purr and just handle shit with east also u might wanna look into a AMD instead of a p4 cause amd's and geforces work well together cause of the following reasons


AMD'S like to run the system and not over work the other key components

But on the other hand Geforces Like to do the same on the proccesor so u have a nice match

But thats my 2 cents :/


I dont persnoally like p4's i've always been a TBIRD or a XP fan barton cores on Xp's or agio stepping on other then Xp

But seeing that Canterwood stepping ( i think thats the name) i kinda like the results p4's are pushing out but hey those fuckers are expensive
