It's on their new CD called: Deloused in the Comatorium. It's a brilliant CD which I'd highly recommend picking up.

And yes, it does defy an easy style label.

The Mars Volta are former members of the band At The Drive In which was fantastic. Half the band formed TMV and the other half formed Sparta. They're great as well.

edit: there was a demo version of the CD leaked which had a short version of Cicatriz which I prefer. I can make it available if you're interested.

Right on! You won't be disappointed. My favorite ATDI CD is called: Relationship of Command

It's cool to hear the different versions of the song. They're mixed a bit differently. I just like the shorter mix I guess.
 
yeah it's pretty interesting to hear the same song done so differantly yet have the exact same characteristics... it's like differant people's perspective on the same thing
