I really dont see too many differences between a leftwing statist authoritarian gvt and a theocracy. Both push their so-called moral superiority onto the people via force and why they should never be given the regins of power, ever. We have more than enough history to look at to see what they have done to people when they have been in charge. Unfortunately, most people dont pay attention to it and fail to see the direction that is taking us back there despite such catchy and campy phrases like "hope and change".
But to the authoritarian (right or left), it's all in how they articulate their message predicated on emotion to divide and conquer. This is has been primarily exploited by using the "haves" versus "have nots" gambit. These easily duped and expendable pawns march out to do their master's bidding, just as evidenced by a few of the posters in this thread. They cheerlead their own demise without any thought to it. Whats even more pitiful is that a bad movie scores the point.
It never ceases to amaze me the mental gymnastics it takes to piss and moan about Bush yet completely ignore everything Owebomba has done whether it is to expand those policies or sign into law new ones, such as the NDAA or all the shit with the IRS and PRISM.
