Those guys were doing a great job of all firing down an alley halfheartedly. Their discipline and coordination are pretty hilarious. Oh and the guy in the apartment building saying that he would one day be saying this in the Pentagon :lol:

admittedly, I know nothing about investing because I invest in keeping all debt at zero.

but I am betting that you do not physically own the metals, just a piece of paper saying you do with some sort of agent or multiple tiers of agents between you and the people who actually physically hold these metals.


I am skeptical of precious metals because the major demographic they seem to target is old people, who seem to be targeted by all sorts of scam artists.

It is very interesting watching how this war develops alongside the propaganda efforts of both sides.

I have been watching and reading the following channels and news sites every day. There are many interviews with both soldiers and civilians. It is clearly a war rooted in ideology. The Russian perspective is that they are fighting against what they perceive as the encroachment of an immoral secular western new world order being gradually pushed upon them by an elite. They see a threat on long held values (which have pretty much been established through eastern orthodox influence) alongside a strong nationalist identity. The western perspective, well we get that in the normal media so no need to state the obvious (freedom, democracy, blabla etc).

This war is a proxy war being fought between U.S. interests and Russian interests with the average joe caught in the middle.

Here is a little map I threw together which basically shows the standoff. The DNR controls Donetsk and they are being supported by Russian equipment and probably some clandestine operational units.

The UA (Ukranian Forces) still have units station underground at the airport but they are prevented from operating openly on the surface by the DNR forces who have taken control of buildings next to the main terminal. The DNR repel UA attempts to push the DNR militias back daily and both sides shell each other. The DNR claim they are not pushing forward at the moment due to the cease fire agreement but claim they they intend to push all the way to Kiev in the future.

Funny thing is there was a whole platoon lined up :lol:
