[So] Supergirl is going to be a Latino now.

Cliffs: During the upcoming Flash movie (DCEU), Supergirl is being recast. She will be played by a Latino actress.

wtf?

I rather enjoyed the Arrowverse Supergirl on the CW TV show "Supergirl" who was played by whiter than white Melissa Benoist who was hot and did a hell of a fine job with the role.

Fine - fictional character that can leap tall buildings and lift cars etc.

Not fine - character's ethnicity.

Almost, but not quite.

If a character's ethnicity has already been established, then don't change it.

Don't make Jimmy Olsen a nigger when he's already been established as a ginger. Keep Mehcad Brooks though. Just cast him instead as Ron Troupe; and, then just let him do the same stuff in the TV show... as Ron Troupe.

That Winn Schott guy? HE was the spirit of ginger Olsen.

Reign was fine as a Latina because she hadn't been established as anything else yet.

Can you just imagine the flack if Martian Manhunter was recast by Andrew Dice Clay?

I think the comic book realm dabbles in multiverse shit enough to survive a latina Supergirl. But if you're going to change shit with the understanding that it's not "canon" then you need to be up-front and honest with the fans that you're doing some multiverse shit with the character. This is not your "original" hero.

And then some nerd will still have a problem with it somewhere, but most people will just go back to not giving a shit.

And then nobody will watch your show.

Of course she will.

Because minorities lack the mental faculties to create their own super hero stories

Edit: The jews that write for Marvel aren't much better. This is what happens when a numale SJW Colbert writer gets access to comics.

Daniel Jordan Kibblesmith (born October 9, 1983)[1] is an American writer and comedian who has written for television, comic books, and websites.[2] As a writer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert he is a 5 time Emmy nominee.

If ethnicity isn't an issue...

Then why the concerted effort to change the ethnicity of original characters away from being white?

Batman becomes Asian,
Batwoman becomes Black,
Super Girl becomes Latin American,
Wonder Woman becomes whatever the fuck this is

Why do progressives complain at length that the movie Dunkirk is too white or a Medieval European RPG doesn't have any black people represented... I mean, if it doesn't matter why do they care so much?

You have to be pretty naive to think that ethnicity isn't a driving factor behind these progressive casting choices... it's not just chance that the actor/actress we choose to hire conveniently checks numerous intersectional tick boxes on the woke spectrum.

As a popular beverage company puts it:

Try to be less white.

I do look forward to a scene of Supergirl screaming at her boyfriend in public while he looks at his shoes
