Looks like they figured out that people just want plain old Battlefield instead of the shit they've been coming up over the last three games. #yay

The only way they could get me to buy this is to publish under someone other than EA. Guarantee EA will fuck it up somehow.
 
I do like the trailer for at least showing that they're going back to basic. Gameplay reveal is on the 13th so i guess i'll update the thread by then.

We're not seriously thinking "Maybe this time will be different... EA Games promises it'll be different this time".

It's a nod to players who have been doing exactly this in Battlefield.



Also regarding the comments that EA will fuck it. Of course, EA will stay EA. But the previous few Battlefield games kinda sucked in general where this looks like it's going to be more true to predecessors like 3 and 4. So hopefully it'll be fun for a good 50 hrs or so. :)

Gotta love after how Battlefield 5 tanked like it did we suddenly have a trailer where there's zero appeasing the woke crowd.

they also spend 5x on marketing than dev... all that brainwashing makes a diff. its y dis thred exists in the first place
 
That trailer was typical over-produced and generic marketing wank.

It really didn't do anything wrong... but if the goal of any trailer is to elicit a twinge of anticipation or nostalgia... it didn't do that either.

When they released the BC2 trailer, that took me from 0% (I could care less about playing another FPS ever again) to 110% (I must have this game right now), in 90 seconds.

This 2042 trailer is a yawner.
