Fairchild AFB has had it's history of strange and tragic issues. I was stationed there from 1978 to 1982 and I have too many stories to count for shit I saw/heard.

I served with SrA Andrew Brown when I was in the USAF...he recounted the event in pretty clear detail...he was a good shot and I thank him for it. I asked him how he felt, and he said that he just had to do his duty and that he doesn't regret it. He shot the guy at 70 yards...with a Beretta 9mm. Being a combat arms instructor, I was really impressed with his marksmanship.

Good man, that...saved a ton of lives. The pilot of the B-52 was a f'ing idiot though.
