Cracking your neck

You've got arteries threaded through holes in the vertebrae of your neck that you could pinch off. No idea if that's relevant or anything though.

This is what Chiropractors are for.

When you pop your neck, the reason you're able to, is because your vertebrates can become misaligned, it's pretty normal to occasionally happen. Unfortunately when you do this yourself, you're not really putting it back into place, you can't self adjust that stuff and get it right. Even if it feels better, all you do is shift the misalignment somewhere else along the neck or spine.

If one thing's out of place, something else is probably out of place too. You'd be surprised how totally of whack your body can be, have things adjusted, and feel a huge difference in how you feel physically - things like back pain, neck pain, headaches, body aches, tossing and turning when you try to sleep, etc, can suddenly go away, things you don't even realize are hurting because you've become so desensitized to them because they're always there.

I know how TW in general feels about Chiropractors, but in my view, this is what they're good at doing.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, been in a violent car crash before so its probably a source of some problems.

I'm always cracking my neck to relieve some muscle tension, probably for over 10 or 15 years now. Every once in a while I'll get some severe upper shoulder back pain that takes a while to correct itself, usually getting much better after popping/cracking/traction of some sort on the spine. I'm sure there are probably other people on here who have the same issues in one way or another, and are frequently cracking their back/neck. So I'd have to ask, has anyone ever seen "stars" (a number of black dots that move leaving distorted trails in your vision) after cracking their neck?

Yes I always did it for years. Always getting headache / neck tension. Used to often get blurry spots right after. Scans show I have a couple of bulging discs in my neck. I stopped cracking it and now about a year later the headaches are much better. (I still crack it very rarely, it does feel damn good though I usually end up worse off later on)
