So who got Prototype today?

I beat the game yesterday. Taking my time I spent ~20 hours from start to finish (In game statistics FTW).

The game is fucking fun. I have yet to be bored killing/consuming military/police/civilians/infected. After the first mission I basically spent about 2-3 hours just running around New York tearing shit up. I'd definitely recommend a playthrough.

But at the same time (now that I'm finished with the game) there really isn't anything else to do other than run through the side missions to try and get platinum scores or play on a harder difficulty (with all my upgrades, woo!).

I'll definitely give it a second playthrough, but after that I doubt I'll play it again.

turned everything to high and running at 1680X1050. It runs Flawless for me.
 
waiting for the download to finish on steam. The pc version is getting much higher reviews then the console versions.
 
I played for 3 or so hours today, had a blast. The fighting got a bit hectic when it was a tiny space with 8 Hunters chasing me around. The parkour part of the game is awesome though, way better than Assassin's Creed. It also seems like there is plenty to do for those of us who like completing a game 100%. Finding all of the hints, locations and completing all of the events with top medals.

I'm not disappointed.. but I didn't pay for it, either.
 
not 100% sure but some missions require that you have certain skills unlocked before you can do that mission. so i think you need all the core ones to get to the last missions.
 
IGN's review of prototype was pretty harsh - they gave it a 7.5, which isn't bad - most aspects they gave 5 and 6's, I think the gameplay is what saved it (they gave it an 8)...graphics a 5.5....this was the 360 version i believe.

I have a 360 but i might get it for ps3.


It can keep my one other ps3 game company.
 
the PS3 version is broken apparently...on some PS3's it won't let you install it unless you copy 700mb worth of data to your hard drive....then delete said data.

that being said, I'll probably pick up the 360 version.
 
i was waiting to buy either this game or infamous but seeing the reviews i'll buy infamous over this game.

ps. anyone else buying ghostbusters?
 
holy shit the funnest 10 minutes ever just bulldozing sidewalks and oncoming traffic with a car i picked up

then i spent like 5 minutes just grabbing ppl and then taking them on elevator rides to the top of buildings and jumping off

been a long time since i got this aggrivated at a video game but this game has done it to me.

the controlls suck ass. It never does or goes the direction i want.

The missions are really not all that fun. you always have a gajillion things shooting at you and this part where im supposed to hijack this tank with some fuck inside if you go to hijack it any of the gajiilion things shooting at you just knock you off.

I can understand challenging but this shit just isnt fun.

Granted jsut flying around and the different animations for this game is sick as fuck. Story line playability fucking erks me tho.

Are you using keyboard and mouse or 360 controller....if you are using a mouse give up.
