The Batman (2022)

Haven't watched it yet, but I'm a little Batmanned out. I need like 15 years of no Batman.

ok lots pf people i rely on said it was awesome

even during the nolan years, i begged for a riddler serial killer set in seven.

i think there is a long list of positives i can give. I probably would have loved it 15 years ago.

maybe its comic fatigue. I definitely have batman fatigue. There were small, maybe meaningless things that pulled me right out of this. I felt dumber after this movie finished.

saw a goth teenager and her nerd bf go to see it shortly before i slept through morbius and i wished them in my head to do something dirty to each other like her at least get finger banged during it because duh what are movie theatres for when ur a young teenager

There was bound to be a goth goth in Gotham but this is maybe the worst Batman out of the 72 or so batmans so far

Zoe kravitz is super beautiful and everything

But she seems like an unhappy miserable person.

also she apparently has hulk strength in this movie because hollywood writers think 90 pound girls can beat up giant men because she has elite kung fu skills

They try to be grounded and gritty then get cartoonishly stupid at times.

How many batman versions do we really need. DC has like 3 superheros. superman, batman, wonder woman, thats it.

Is this the official DCU Batman now or is it a new spin off Batman?
new spinoff…for now. it suggests a sequel at the end.

att ditched warner to discovery…discovery wants to make a lot of changes.

the flash movie is at risk because ezra is fucking nuts
black adam filming

but these one offs seem to land a lot better than copying mcu

if i believed he was an actual transsexual and not a psychopath attention whore that requires extensive medication then i would adjust my use of pronouns.

idc about this guys crossdressing i have seen heath ledger, tricky, and some cartoon clown all do it and i figure if a guy does it act like kurt cobain at least

imo they've never copied the mcu, which is why they're failing so spectacularly at it. They've been trying to shortcut since day 1, which has squandered any decent talent they acquired, and made dozens of terrible story/structure decisions before even getting to the awful board room decisions that have turned their timeline into something arguably worse than the Xmen franchise.

It felt more like a long form mini series than it did a movie. It dragged at times and was a chore to put all of the pieces together. It easily could have been cut down to a couple of hours, or put out as a 4 part series on HBO Max.

His Bruce Wayne was probably the worst one yet, Batman was ok albeit a bit too small and lean. That cowl was terrible though. Maybe as bad as Bale's.

I think the character used the gun that killed his parents in the bat symbol on his chest. Yet in a film that was 3 hours, it's never even brought up.

Paul Dano sucks, and the Riddler costume choice was very questionable. I didn't like it.

Penguin makeup though, the makeup artist needs to win an oscar for that. Combined with Colin Farrell's acting, you'd never know it was him.

After viewing it once and barely making it through the whole runtime, I am probably not going watch it ever again. Much like the rest of the DC movies. So all in all a forgettable experience.

Too bad we didn't get the Affleck movie we were supposed to get, he was at least interesting and believable as Batman.
