we're over worked and underpaid and do drugs as a result

and like everything, telling people not to do something while shoving propaganda down their throats = people do those things

I've heard the DARE program has been discontinued because it turns out it actually encouraged kids to experiment.

Found a link. Doesn't say the program was officially discontinued but it does say kids that have been through the program are more likely to try drugs

The program's success rate has also been attacked. In 2003, a U.S. General Accountability Office study said the program could be counterproductive, with DARE graduates often having higher rates of drug use than individuals who did not go through the program.
