For every "We were soldiers" there are 10 "platoons". The difference is that "We were soldiers" was almost 100% accurate in it's depliction. Platoon was fantasy anti-war drivel about as accurate as JFK, Stone's other supposed real movie. Yet people think that Platoon was one of the greatest movies of all time.
