I hold the play button as long as I can but my nano just won't turn off. Any suggestions?

Is there a way to not have the DT icon on the desktop? Its ugly and annoying, but I've never taken the initiative to inquire if there is a way around having it. When I try to delete the icon and use the .exe in the t2 directory, it doesn't work. Just very aggravating.

Lost my disc for my modem drivers to get connected to the web. Its a motorola sb5120 and comcast is my provider. Wondering if its possible to download these drivers, burn them to a disc, and install on my new rig?
