Thinking about playing this [again, for the 3rd time]

Reasons why i left.

Took too long to "skill up"
Took too long for combat.
Took way too long for travel.

I'm kinda over the slow combat thing, but the other two make me I'll be wasting another $15.

I think the farthest i got was .4 space or wtf ever danger rating system it is.

Is there any skill path i can take to get into 0.0 space and get into pvp teams like with in a month?

Also is there anyway to bypass the whole jumping from system to system to system (x10) to get someplace? I remember doing shit were i would literally go do something else for 15 minutes while going someplace.

Oh and does anyone know if the game saves character data over like a 2 year period. If so I'll still have a decent ship and some cash and a toon with about 2 - 3 months of time dumped into skills.

2) Not really, but there's "Warp to Zero" now, meaning that if you don't autopilot, you go directly from gate to gate.

my character was deactivated for about 2 years and was still there when i came back. also you could probably be a tackler in roaming gangs now or with very little (less than a week) worth of training. start doing that in t1 frigs then train towards interceptors, and by the time you're in those you should have a better idea of how combat and tackling works. depending on your race, t1 cruisers can also be decent in small group pvp and you should definitely be able to fly them by now.

anyways the real secret is not to get bogged down only doing missions or other solo shit, because that does get boring fast. join channel tribalwar in game and ask around

I think i have frigs already when i left off and a bunch of other shit ppl told me to get for pvp. Also yes the soloing kinda killed it for me to, seeming how thats all i did. IF i do come back ill be dragging a friend into it. It will be his first time around so knowing what to train in as to not get raped in pvp would be nice to know. Need to give City of * a brake for a bit.

So i might be on this weekend or Monday.
