Because you don't really get to hand-pick your subordinates, and the rest of your pilots aren't going to tow the line unless they want to. The only thing people respond well to is single strong leaders.

Its happened to FREEE, ATF, and I know of others that have successfully handed leadership to someone else. It just takes some delegation (thanks) of power.

I have no idea what TRI's situation was, but its deffinantly effected us.
