Several months ago one of the D2 corps(SteelVipers) splintered from D2 and created their own alliance(YouWhat). They left on good terms, so D2 let them have their favorite region, Cloud Ring. Now they're turning on D2 for reasons I can't imagine, but may have something to do with the fact that D2 isn't hostile to the Goons ATM due to both of them fighting down South. Previously the Goons managed to nearly take Cloud Ring from YW for themselves.

D2 hands XZH over to YW. During the changing of Sov a now famous goon shoots the XZH station. This begins the XZH war. D2 and Razor jump in to help YW and it became a D2 vs. Goonswarm war. After that was over with, my memory remains fuzzy, but IIRC, D2 gave the station to Rise, or somehow Rise had control of the station immediately after the war (edit: I was told that Rise and YW were to share the space, then Rise or YW went NBSI and set the other negative). Then You What and Rise go to war in what is known as "The Great Special Olympics Exhibition" in which case eventually, with the help of 0utbreak, YW wins. History goes on D2 naps GS, YW is pretty vocal about not agreeing with this move. Even though after D2 bailed them out losing somewhere around 18 dreads and putting up 40+ large towers to kick GS out, they hate goons more than they like D2. But that might have a little to do with the station situation after the GS war.
The first week of XZH was almost exclusively GS vs. YW and YW was not faring well at all. Once D2 got involved YW involvement went way down, but that might have been because their members kept getting banned.

Exactly, I hate to see this happening. I'm saddened to see that YW can't realize the importance of taking down BoB now, and that means allying with the Goons until the War of New Eden is over.
I'd actually consider FIX more threatening. Now to make plans for what I want to do with Cloud Ring...

Some people have jump clones in the station, but most people just still have assets across verge vendor, placid, and syndicate. I've got 4+ cruisers and probably 10 frigs scattered across those areas. We lived there for quite some time and trying to move everything literally from one side of the galaxy to the other, you're going to leave some things behind. Also helps that Cloud Ring is relatively close to empire.
That and going to XZH is some ultimate goon comedy... and never get between a goon and his memes/catchphrases.
