1) The queues stay
2) Covert ops ships get hit with the nerf bat so hard that they're now useless
3) BM copying is gone, no one will be able to make instas after Thursday.

I doubt cov ops will be useless now, but its pretty damn major that any time you get targetted even if you close before the target process is finished you can not stealth.

I mean now they just have to actually be careful.. Im not saying it sucks because I have lost out on many kills due to my shitty targetting speed and cov ops using the go invis and run method.. but I can see peoples pain who got used to this tactic.

1) Any node at any time can go to 95% for no reason. I've had to wait to log in to the game in my middle-of-nowhere system because the node has been at 95%; there wasn't even anyone else in the system. You can be flying along, chasing hostiles when they make it through and then the node hits 95%, leaving you stuck there. Or maybe the other way around and you can't get out... 95% happens a lot more than CCP wants us to think.

2) BM copying of 5 at a time means instas are done. It'll be too slow to make them any more except at ludicrous prices.

3) See Shadow13's post about locking. Covert Ops frigs are the slowest frigs in the game, as a compensation for the cloak. An insta-lock Inty sitting at a gate as part of a gatecamp could lock and scramble you before you could warp off every time. Basically you could never take one through any kind of gatecamp, because the cloak is no longer a viable defense, and a covert that can't actually go near/through enemy camps is pretty damn useless.
 
The covops change is not a bugfix, it severly limits covops ability in terms of scouting and running around 0.0. It's even worse for recons who can't align and warp as quickly as covops.

The queues are terrible, I can't get near placid, verge vendor, solitude, syndicate, or outer ring without having to wait in a queue during euro primetime. The dumbest thing about it is even if you're in the constellation already you get to wait at every damn gate through the constellation. About the only time I can reliably bother to head to empire is right before I go to bed. If there isn't going to be any change from what is in the game now as far as queues go, it's going to be awesome the first time someone throws 100 pilots in a system afk just to lock it down 24/7.
 
Im so sick of hearing the assholes in the eve forums be glad coverts is broken. These morons dont know the skill tree required to fly a recon effectively, it's akin to 5-6 months of training.
Note: these are estimates based on a decent attribute setup:
12 days for frig 5
33 days for cruiser 5
14 days for recon 4
14 days for electronics 5
14 days for electronic upgrades 5
12 days for cloaking 4
12 days for covert ops 4
34 days for astrometrics (scan probes) 4

Now, add the electronic warfare skills
add navigation skills so your slow ass cruiser can actually turn better than a battleship
add a shitload of other skills like drones or missles

its a deep fucking skill tree

Now throw it out the door because recons cannot do recon unless they NEVER jump through a gate
 
How I read it is: If you are locked, you can't cloak, or if you are being targetted and cloak just as they get lock, you will be uncloaked...isn't that how it is supposed to be? It still shouldn't be hard to double-click space and hit F1 or F4 before they even have time to click your name.

THe problem with the 95% node shit is that they have 0.0 systems sharing nodes with busy empire systems, particularly the typically empty 0.0 sytems.

About the cloaking issue. There has been a little in house misunderstanding. The problem is that the way cloaking works now is that if you are being targetted but aren't locked you can cloak but the lock attempt isn't broken so when you're locked you get uncloaked but there is a bug where the uncloaking visual effect isn't performed so you happily think you're still cloaked.

The fix in the patch notes and the one Kieron mentioned fixes the issue of not seeing you uncloak. However cloaks didn't use to work this way, if nobody had you locked when you cloaked, all locking attempts were broken and you stayed happily cloaked. That is the way it supposed to work and we'll be restoring it back the way it was.

I don't really know when that will happen though. It was really news to me that this "wasn't a bug" until this morning so I've been talking to other devs and bughunters about this.

From the sounf of it, a bug exists but you didn't know you were being fucked by the bug. They just made it so you know you're getting fucked, and they'll eventually unfucked it.

It would be better if they unfucked the bug than hiding it until they feel like unfucking it.
