TCF, meet D2.

Today, a D2 fleet decided to make TCF pay for concentrating their forces in D7-ZAC... so we took a trip to TCF's backyard and started shooting up small POSes.

We get one POS down to reinforced. No enemies appear.
We fly to the next system, and see that the POS is OFFLINE. No defenders. We stole a couple tempests, a retriever, and blew up a few retrievers.
Third system, one of my corp's scanner pilots spots a deepsafe in the system... with 20-30 ships. We bust the SS, steal 5 Ravens, a couple Tempests, a Domi, and a few cruisers and destroy the rest... and all the cans, leaving a single renamed shuttle behind (IIRC).

We were frapsing it as well, and I'll find a link to that when it gets posted.

wtf would possess people to leave stuff in a ss like that, they didnt learn from the people before that had these kind ofspots busted?
 
Yea i think TCF was banking heavily on the goons occupying D2 for another few weeks. Their timing couldn't have been much worse. However, unlike the fight with the goonies, this one sounds to be a ton of fun and not full of exploits. Which is why you haven't heard D2 bitching about losing a few dreads.

Plus TCF is French, the Germans don't want to be seen as bigger whiners than the French.;)

But seriously, I too can't believe they had a deep SS like that. Just get a damn POS with a ship maintainance array, it does a far better job hiding ships.

Oh ya, the unfounded exploits that lead to ??. I'm sure it was exploits that lead to 3 dreads down to a 20 man gang. If there was sound evidence for 'exploits' don't you think some people would be banned?
 
What are you talking about helado? In the goon/d2 gay-fest players from both side were banned for a few weeks for exploits. Goons were very obviously creating lag with drones at their pos's during the dread sieges (tho this is not considered an exploit for some reason). Then D2 stupidly kept sending dreads in to die to lag.

Or if you're talking about this current conflict with TCF.... D2 lost a few dreads fair and square, which is why you haven't heard anything about it on the forums.
 
The last dread siege in xzh prior to the pos spam, with over 100 d2 in system, 20 goons downed 3 dreads. Obviously this was due to lag. In fact, every dread siege, D2 had number superiority in the system, yet why is it always pinned on the goons for the lag. Because they used drones? Newsflash: Drones don't cause module lag. Nobody from Goonswarm was banned for anything in the dread sieges. The two that were even lag related, one was for a guy copying a bookmark to a can outside of xzh, the other was when a guy hopped into a shuttle to pod jump. Except his shuttle was holding a set of instas for escrow. Both weren't even near any of the sieges in which the "lag sploits" are claimed.

If D2 knew how to use it's god damn capital ship fleet effectively, they could have avoided most of those losses, lag or not.

They have the petition button. Why would they need to know how to use their fleet? They'll just bitch and moan about their losses to 'lag sploits' to CCP again and call it a major victory!
