[need advice] bday gift for relatively new gf

Hey TW,

So I have been dating this girl since early February of this year. Coming up on 4 months. She has gotten clingy, and we have already been through our first fight. This relationship feels serious...

Her bday is day after tomorrow, and I don't know what is an appropriate gift to get her. Coincidentally, she is at a conference, so I won't see her till after this weekend, on memorial day. She is into normal girl things/works at a hospital with kids/in the middle of getting a grad degree online. (so she doesn't really have time for many side activities.)

Jewelry would be the obvious go to, but I am not certain I want to drop that much money yet.

Any input would be awesome.

Corny Tshirt from her favorite book/movie series, chocolate/favorite wine, a nice dinner date.
Save jewelry for a while, 4 months is too soon for jewelry. Unless the jewelry is something none metallic, like some sort of unique handmade hippy jewelry that suits her style.
 
You left out the most important detail:

Are you fucking or not? That makes a world of difference in the gift giving options.

This. Depends on the girl, though. My fiancee is a dork like me, and really loves corny gifts (that have meaning, of course).

Think of a couple of things she's real passionate about, and you'd be surprised at the type of related gifts you can find.

One of the first things I learned about my fiancee when we started dating was she liked Dinosaur Comics - May 23rd, 2012 - awesome fun times! . So I went to their store and got her:

4 months... and you think they might not be fucking yet... is it that you assume he is pathetic or that you are projecting your own pathetic?
 
This is not the forum to ask for useful advice on relationships. Careers. Investments. Or anything. Maybe certain kinds of porn and where to find it. But that's it.
