I'm fairly certain that anyone who's ever tried basically any other mustard would realize how bad yellow mustard is. So I guess yeah it's trendy, but it's been so for quite a while...

It's not as bad as some people make it out to be, but personally I would fairly rarely use it even if it is the only choice and I love almost all different kinds of mustard.
