XP Pro vs. Media Center Edition?

I'm going to be reinstalling my system probably either tonight or this weekend. I'm also finally going to actually buy my OS since Windows isn't outrageously priced anymore. I'm trying to decide which version to get though. I'm not going to get Vista right now. There's too many people having issues with it. So it's down to XP Pro or Media Center. Since I have an Xbox360, Media Center seems like it would be a good choice for the connectivity. I'm just wondering about what I would be losing as opposed to sticking with XP Pro.

Right now my system is used for your basic stuff: games, surfing, streaming media to Xbox, and sharing music with my roommate. No real intense networking stuff other than sharing mp3s.

Are there any glaring reasons to stick with one or the other?

I was actually hoping for some comments from people who have actually used both, or at least Media Center.
