i've still got my ~fuel cell savings account~ w/ $60k of the $500k it will cost 2 buy one of these things when they come out
 
well then he'd better dive into the ~revolutionary~ crash chamber on his 48 b/c his shit's dangerous, maverick. every time one of his vehicles hits the road, it's unsafe.

I'm slightly ambivalent about Elon Musk but in general I think he's a cool dude and I support almost everything he's doing despite all the trendy hate surrounding him. That being said, I think Tesla will succeed simply due to the fanboyism surrounding the company. Tesla reminds me of Apple, just way more innovative. Musk is driven and he has proven his doubters fantastically wrong numerous times throughout his life. It would be silly to bet against him in the long-term IMO.

I gotta say though, aside from the Model S, I find Teslas to be pretty ugly cars. The Model S is badass looking no doubt, but the other models look aesthetically clunky to me from certain angles (namely the rear). From the rear, the SUV/crossover looks a VW Tiguan or something, but somehow uglier. The Model 3... just not a big fan. I'm sure some of you agree.
 
I don’t get the gull wing door on the model x. It would’ve been just fine with normal doors. The Teslas look so much better than anything else electric at the time. Like the Mitsubishi IMIEV, Prius, or Volt lololololol

I rented a Tesla model s and it was freaking awesome. The torque and features in the car like the camera views and the center screen which is bigger than my monitor.
 
Tesla has released a statement:

Model 3 production has been delayed (again) in order to shift focus towards Tesla's new line of Electric Submarines.
 
Then there's the lack of space at the NUMMI plant - no space left between Model S, X, and 2x 3 - the 3rd 3 line is in the naturally-aspirated "Musk Pavilion". Nowhere for the Y and the Semi.

This is where another round of financing would come in handy...

It depends on the number of cars made - once an EV manufacturer has made 200k EVs, the rebate will be issued on cars sold until the end of the quarter. Some speculate Tesla have been trying to time this, to maximize the number of cars getting the rebate - as an excuse for not hitting 5k/wk until now.
