Wierd and annoying bug

I don't think I have ever seen or heard of it... my mouse has started to randomly double click on single clicks. Sometimes it could even be 3 clicks.
A click on a link can open 2-3 windows. Closing windows may close windows behing it as well.

it has been going on for a few days and getting worse

It's very annoying, most likly my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 is acting up.
Too bad the Explorer 4.0 sucks so much...

Don't use so much lotion on your mouse hand when whacking to internet porn... it's best to set the player on repeat and just let it go.

there is nothing wrong mechanically, no food or whatever ever came in contact with it. Clicking feels the same as ever, just does 2 instants sometimes.

I had the same problem with two of my old logitech mice.

It was due to wear on the PCB switch (the button you click on presses on a small switch on the PCB). The wear on the PCB button had caused it to "lose" about 2millimeters, causing the outside of the mice to have a hard time reaching the PCB button...

Open it and see the wear for yourself. You can fix it by filling the "crack" on the PCB button with something. What I did was put some tape on the underside of the outside button..

fixing it costs nothing and is only a small task, but you can always buy a new one if you're lazy.

Exact same thing happened to my Intellimouse Exploder 3.0 just last month so I replaced it w/ a Logitech 518.
