Source: Donovan McNabb gets 5-year, $78M extension - ESPN

The Washington Redskins and quarterback Donovan McNabb have agreed to a five-year, $78 million extension that could be worth up to $88 million with incentives, a source with knowledge of the agreement told ESPN NFL Insider Michael Smith.

The source said $40 million of the deal will be guaranteed.

McNabb, who will turn 34 later this month, agreed to an extension just two weeks after he was benched at the end of a loss to the Lions because coach Mike Shanahan said the quarterback didn't have a grasp of the teams' 2 minute offense.

what are you talking about. Receivers just need to grow hands at their ankles and then they'd be all set. Dan Snyder is paying scientists $600 million over 4 years to get on that, with $450 million guaranteed, regardless of results.

I thought it was because he didn't have the stamina to keep his puke down.
 
Donovan will play like eight games during the next five years because of "injuries." Nice investment there, Dan. This ranks right up there with the Heath Shuler pick.
 
I was going to say "Clinton Portis" worst player they have imo, they've done so much better without him this season
