What to do in Boca Raton, FL?

I'm heading down to Boca Raton, Florida next week for a convention. Anything fun that I should do while there? Anything cool in particular going down in Boca or Miami that week (I'm there from the 8th to 11th).
 
Go to City Place in West Palm Beach and drink, lots of clubs there.

Also Hard Rock Casino in Ft. Lauderdale, it has like a strip mall full of clubs outside of it.
 
Well, you are going Monday to Thursday.
If you tell me exactly where you are, I can give you the name of clubs that have rock music in them. Or tell me what kind of club you like.

Hard Rock is located in Hollywood, off the Turnpike at Griffin Road exit. Worth the drive but it will take you 30 minutes to get there.

And if you want the tourist stuff, you can drive all the way down the South Beach just to see it. Take I-95 to the I-395, which is called the Dolphin Expressway. Head east to Washington or Collins Ave, and go north. Hunt for a space to park, there are meters and parking lots.

Other than beaches, there's not much to do in general in Fl.

Otoh, the strip clubs are excellent in Ft Lauderdale and Miami l. For the night club scene, definitely go to Miami. It's fun for about 2 days, but you definitely have to put some money down.

Some semi decent diving spots, but not really the best time of year for that.

If you have an afternoon try some touristy Acquariums, zoos or say Parrot Jungle (which is quite nice actually)

Oh and Cityplace is retarded unless you're insanely rich and are cool with 35 year olds acting like they are 21. Food is massively overpriced at the restaurants and most places have cover charges.

Now, I do enjoy the free cover band concerts and its a great place to take the wife and kids out for a walk and lunch. The club scene is pretty stupid quite honestly. If you're in Boca you may as well drive to Miami since Cityplace is nearly as far away.
 
One thing I will say is that if you have a whole day to waste and a car, go to Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee. It's like a 50 minute drive from central Boca, but the place is fucking awesome. You get to drive your car through a park with wild animals all around you. Zebras, wildebeest, antelope, giraffes.. all sorts of animals. Big and dangerous guys like lions and elephants are kept in areas where they can't get at your car, but you do get really up close with rhinos which is sweet.

They also have a zoo attached to the drive through park and it's all one pretty reasonable price.
