What kind of car should I get?

I am looking to buy a new car and have like $14,000 to spend in cash. I don't know what I really want, maybe a mini suv or a good looking car.

Toyota Prius. It's the "in thing" to have because it's a hybred.
Ford also has an electric SUV that gets 40mpg and looks nice. There might be a waiting list for it, fairly new.

Anyway, Saturns are good cars, they're not "cool" by any means, but reliable, and efficient. My friend has a Turbo saturn that runs 13s in the quarter. It's still a gay saturn, but it's not slow.
