he means the default to work on them
at least thats the only way i can interpret it.
if thats the case, then you need tribestools (found on fsb-spy's site) and go to vol file extractor, select skins.vol in tribes\base folder and go pbmp to bmp and then voila u can open them in ur editing program, you just gotta find the names of the skins im to lazy to list em..

Ok, you will need TribesTools which can be found on FSB-SPY's site. Then you will need to run TribesTools and use the VOL file extractor tool, browse your way to your tribes\base folder and look inside entities.vol. This *.vol file contains disc.bmp(disc launcher), grenade.bmp(grenade launcher), sniper.bmp(laser rifle), energygun.bmp(blaster), mortargun.bmp(mortar), plasma.bmp(plasma), shotgun.bmp(ELF) and chaingun.bmp(chaingun). Remember, to edit these files, you will need to tick the PBMP -> BMP checkbox. After skinning the weapons if thats what you're going to do, you need to apply a palette with PaintShopPro and run Makeskin+ in TribesTools. When using makeskin, select the palette you applied in PaintShopPro and don't change the Advanced Options.
